BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLY SHEER VICTORIAN GOWN

 Consists of sheer baby muslin/batiste with combination of hand and machine work.

The amazing handworked bodice shows one large butterfly in the center , 2 smaller on each side, inserts of flower designed lace, french knots , embroidered tiny leaves and flowers.Highly decorated this work is very finely done. The closeup of the bodice makes it appear as heavy but it is not and is shown for the detail of the design.

Tiny openwork entredeaux around the neckline , between bodice butterfly design and across the bodice front. The back of the bodice closes with 2 lovely pearl buttons and 5 tiny pintucks on each side.

The gathered lace trimmed sleeves are 5 1/2" long measured from underneath the arm pit.

The sheer skirt has a gorgeous embroidered lower section finished with a scalloped hem. Measurements: chest: 20"                    shoulder to shoulder: 9"     length: 38"      sleeve: 5 1/2"
